Horizons Academy is an academic, hybrid-homeschool program developed under Everything Under the Rainbow to further support students in their academic, social, and emotional learning goals. With small classrooms and well educated teachers, we strive to provide personalized learning.
Our Story
Our founding organization, Everything Under The Rainbow, was born from a deeply personal journey — a journey rooted in love, perseverance, advocacy, and the belief that every child deserves a learning environment where they can be known, challenged, and encouraged to grow.
As a mother, educator, and advocate, Lisa spent decades navigating educational systems, building relationships with educators and specialists, and learning firsthand that every child learns differently. Through both personal and professional experiences, she saw the importance of individualized instruction, meaningful relationships, strong advocacy, and learning environments where students could be known as individuals rather than defined by a diagnosis, label, or test score.
Her children taught her lessons that continue to influence this work today. Through their unique journeys, she learned the value of perseverance, resilience, faith, and the belief that growth is possible even when the path forward is uncertain. She witnessed firsthand that progress is not always measured by timelines or traditional expectations and that every child deserves opportunities to build on their strengths, develop confidence, and discover what they are capable of achieving.
Over time, those experiences expanded beyond her own family. Families began reaching out for guidance, academic support, advocacy, and educational services. Again and again, the same need emerged: families were looking for strong academics, meaningful relationships, individualized support, and a place where their children could be known, encouraged, and appropriately challenged.
With little more than faith, determination, community support, and a desire to serve, Everything Under The Rainbow was born. What began with a small budget, countless prayers, and a belief that every voice matters grew into a mission dedicated to helping students and families discover their strengths, build confidence, and pursue meaningful growth.
Over time, that heart has grown into Horizons Academy. As we continue to grow, we are also clarifying how we share our programs with families. Horizons Academy is the name of our core academic program within EUTR Academics. It reflects the structured, relationship-centered, and intentionally designed learning experience that has always been at the heart of this work. The name is growing with us, but the mission remains the same: to provide strong academics, meaningful support, and a learning community where students and families feel valued.
At Horizons Academy, we believe education should be personal, purposeful, and rooted in relationship. Students are encouraged to build confidence, strengthen skills, discover their gifts, and grow in a community where they are valued.
Horizons Academy was not created because of a diagnosis; it was created because of a belief that every child
deserves to be known, encouraged, challenged, and given opportunities to grow.

Families are welcomed as partners in the learning process. Through conversations, tours, events, student projects, and everyday communication, our goal at Horizons Academy is to help families feel informed, valued, and connected throughout the school year.
Students also have opportunities to build friendships, practice collaboration, and connect through shared learning experiences, hands-on projects, community activities, and everyday learning. This helps create an environment where students can grow academically, socially, and personally.

Students are at the center of the learning experience at Horizons Academy. Each student brings unique strengths, interests, goals, and personality to the community, and our structured hybrid homeschool environment is designed to help students feel known, challenged, and connected. Some students come ready for academic challenge and enrichment, while others are strengthening skills in reading, writing, math, organization, confidence, or study habits.
Through hands-on learning, student projects, class discussions, collaboration, and meaningful relationships, students build academic skills, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and confidence that carry into everyday life.
