Meet Our Teachers

Our team includes credentialed, trauma-informed, experienced, and purpose-driven educators with strengths in literacy, math, science, social studies, writing, academic support, and hands-on instruction. Through strong teaching, intentional grouping, and guided support, students build confidence and show steady academic progress.

Founder and Director

Lisa Mitchell

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Early Childhood Education and Gerontology and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Psychology. She brings 40 years of combined experience in education, advocacy, behavioral management, student support, trauma-informed care, substance use/recovery support, leadership, and family services. Lisa is a Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP) through the Association Method and has separate training in Orton-Gillingham.

Math and Science

Brooke Hudson

Brooke holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and brings years of teaching experience in both public and private educational settings. She has a strong background in science, mathematics, health, wellness, and applied learning. Brooke is especially strong in STEM-based instruction and helps students connect academic concepts to real-world application through labs, projects, discussion, and critical thinking.

ELA and Social Studies

Hilary Leahy

Hilary holds a Master’s Degree in Education and certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She is a Georgia Level 5 certified Prek-5th educator. She brings experience from public, private, and clinical settings and has a strong background in literacy development, elementary education, individualized learning, and student support. She is especially gifted with elementary-aged students and creates calm, structured, relationship-focused classrooms.

Stepping Stones

Caitlyn Parvin

Caitlyn specializes in early childhood development and has her own experience as a divergent learner. She wants to become certified in American Sign Language (ASL). She currently works at Pikes nursery and love all things plant related! Her goal is to teach deaf and hearing impaired children and work in a library setting!
