Reading: Orton Gillingham Approach
At Everything Under the Rainbow, we believe that every child can become a confident, skilled reader with the right tools and support. Our reading curriculum is rooted in the Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach, a proven method designed specifically for children who learn differently, including those with dyslexia and other language-based learning challenges.
We bring reading to life through a multisensory approach, engaging visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic pathways to strengthen retention and understanding. Our hands-on tools include letter tiles, sand trays, phoneme and grapheme cards, and manipulatives that make learning interactive and fun. Students practice reading, writing, and comprehension through activities that stimulate their senses, helping them internalize language patterns and rules.
We also provide individualized instruction, tailoring our teaching methods to each student’s unique learning style. Whether they are mastering phonemic awareness, building vocabulary, or developing reading fluency, our curriculum meets them where they are while encouraging growth and confidence.
Our goal is to create lifelong readers who not only understand the words on the page but also find joy and adventure in the stories they discover.
Math

For students facing challenges like dyscalculia or those who need to bridge learning gaps, we break down complex topics into manageable, bite-sized steps.
