EUTR Developmental
Learning Program
At Everything Under The Rainbow, we understand that some children require a different kind of classroom—one rooted in structure, patience, and communication at every level. Our Developmental Learning Program, designed for children ages 5 through 9, offers a 1:3 ratio and a fully center-based, project-driven model that honors developmental readiness over academic pressure. Students explore early literacy, math fundamentals, and social-emotional growth through movement, play, visuals, and hands-on instruction.
Many of our learners use assistive communication tools such as LAMP devices, and our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to support expression—whether spoken, signed, or tapped out on a screen.
Each classroom is led by a team of specialized educators, paraprofessionals, and behavior support staff who are experienced, compassionate, and committed to whole-child progress. Learning environments are equipped with self-guided centers, sensory bins, weighted items, calming spaces, visual schedules, and communication boards to support regulation, focus, and engagement.
We don’t rush readiness—we build it. Our goal is to create a calm, connected space where each child is seen, supported, and empowered to grow—one confident step at a time.

WHERE
Our Developmental Learning Program is housed on a dedicated floor designed specifically to support students with unique sensory, communication, and physical needs.
Each classroom is calm, organized, and intentionally arranged to promote safety, independence, and engagement. Students benefit from visual schedules, sensory tools, calming corners, and adaptive seating and workstations—all thoughtfully selected to reduce overwhelm and support self-regulation.
The environment fosters consistency and comfort while encouraging meaningful learning, communication, and connection. From the moment they arrive, students are welcomed into a space that honors their needs, celebrates their voice, and sets the stage for growth.
WHEN
Half-Day Program (Ages 5–9) - 9:00 - 12:30
Designed for learners building early academic readiness, our half-day program focuses on small-group instruction, assistive technology use, center-based play, and hands-on, project-driven activities. With a 1:3 ratio, this program supports sensory regulation, communication, and creative independence in a calm, structured environment.
Full-Day Program (Kindergarten-2nd Grade) - 9:00 - 2:00
Ideal for students ready to engage more independently, our full-day option expands into early literacy, phonics, foundational math, and collaborative projects. Learners build self-regulation, strengthen peer connections, and follow a consistent academic routine that balances structure with exploration.
We honor each child’s unique journey—whether they need a gentle introduction or are ready for a full day of discovery and growth.

WHO
This program is designed for children ages 5 through 8 who benefit from a more therapeutic and structured approach to learning. Many of our students are nonverbal or minimally verbal, using assistive communication tools such as LAMP or other AAC devices. We support learners with needs in areas such as fine motor development, sensory regulation, and social connection, and we partner respectfully with families whose children also receive outside services like occupational, speech, or physical therapy.
Our classrooms offer a calm, responsive, and inclusive environment for children who may not thrive in traditional settings. We welcome families seeking an intentional, supportive model that honors communication differences and builds developmental readiness with patience and care.
WHAT
This center-based program is thoughtfully designed to support developmental readiness and individualized growth. Rather than focusing on academic benchmarks, children engage in hands-on, multisensory learning experiences that nurture their communication, motor planning, early literacy, and foundational numeracy skills.
Instruction includes Orton-Gillingham-based phonemic awareness, functional math exploration, and skill-building through tactile and play-based environments. Many students use assistive communication devices (such as LAMP) as part of their daily routine, and all learning is adapted to meet children exactly where they are—whether they’re developing the ability to hold a pencil, follow a visual schedule, or engage in cooperative turn-taking with peers.

WHY
We created the Developmental Learning Program because we believe all children deserve a space that sees their potential, not just their diagnosis. Families with children who require higher levels of support often struggle to find programs that truly understand their needs.
Our goal is to provide a safe, responsive, and intentionally paced environment where children can grow in their ability to communicate, self-regulate, engage socially, and build confidence in small, meaningful steps. This program isn’t about rushing readiness—it’s about honoring each child’s timeline and celebrating their progress.
HOW
Our team includes certified educators, paraprofessionals, and behavior intervention specialists trained in working with children who are nonverbal, minimally verbal, or benefit from alternative communication. We use individualized strategies and incorporate each child’s assistive devices, therapeutic goals, and sensory needs into the classroom experience.
Learning takes place in fully-equipped rooms featuring sensory bins, weighted supports, calming areas, visual prompts, and communication boards. We prioritize consistency, collaboration, and trust—both with the students and with the families and external therapists who support them. Enrollment is limited to just 25 children to ensure the highest level of individualized attention.
